A garden is a living and growing environment and is thus always changing. Hard landscaping provides the structural surfaces against which the planting will bloom and proliferate. Plants are carefully chosen both to flourish in the specific conditions (of soil, sun/shade, dry/wet etc) and also to provide requisite colour, scent, texture and form within the garden.
It is possible to provide interest through the year: from the sweetly scented blossoms of winter flowering shrubs through the welcome yellows, blues and greens of spring, then the multi-coloured voluptuousness of high summer and finally the intense reds, golds and oranges of autumn. Plants are chosen to give a sequence of scents and colour enabling the highlighting of different areas.
